"A full house is a happy home."

Blue Stone Cottage was not always blue nor was it covered in stone. While I was a student at SUNY New Paltz College studying art and education in the early 70's, I lived in downtown High Falls (the center of the universe). In my daily commute to campus over Mohonk Mountain I would pass this lovely little white cottage up on a hillside. I watched this cottage through the seasons. In fall it had the most electric maple trees in the neighborhood. In winter it had the best sleigh riding hill. It awakened with lavish fresh greens in spring and had an inviting front porch for the lazy days of summer. I never forgot that cottage. It was as if it was made for me back in the 1930's.  As luck would have it,10 years and a small family later, that cottage up on the hill became mine.

Blue Stone Cottage and High Falls have been my home for the past 26 years. The Cottage has always been the center of large gatherings, living room concerts and parties overflowing with friends.  With great food, beautiful rooms and an easy ambiance, Blue Stone Cottage is now open to you, a new circle of friends. My mother always said, "A full house is a happy home".....I agree!
